If I were to pitch my film to one of the big production companies ( also known as the big six) which is 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures, Colombia, Warner Brothers, Paramount or Walt Disney they would most likely turn down my idea because as it nor any other film which may have a similar storyline has never been developed, produced and published to the world, and they may face the risk of losing money if it doesn't become successful at the box office and that is simply a risk big production companies can not take. They prefer to play it safe by adapting existing films and creating sequels because if they have been successful, then creating another 3 more would be another chance of gaining success. This is what they done with Fast and Furious, they are continuously making a new Fast and Furious because all the others have been a big success and it generates a lot of profit.
Furthermore if it were to be distributed I think it would be viewed by independent cinemas because to make the opening it didn't cost anything because everything was provided by the school. However if I were to go about making this full version of this film professionally it would probably be a low budget film costing at about £50,000.
But I distributed it through social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat because I have a lot of followers on both my Instagram and Snapchat so I knew my followers would enjoy seeing what I have been working on for all this time as I used to keep them updated. And this benefited us because these were ways we promoted our film for free. But as Instagram and Snapchat videos could only be about 10-15 seconds long, showing them a few clips of the interesting scenes I believed interested and intrigueed them into watching the whole thing and this is where YouTube and Facebook was useful because you are able to have a long duration of videos and it can be accessible to everyone and it will be easy for them to share it with their friends and family.
