Audience Feedback on 3 initial ideas

I had my media colleague analyse our 3 initial ideas. In the inaugural idea, he said that our idea was bad, but the last bit was confusing. He thought it didnt make sense at all. He gave us very negative feedback, and he did not like it at all. Secondly, in Idea 2, he found it very interesting and unique and made him very engaging in the idea. He also sees potential in our idea. Therefore, we decided to make this our final idea. Finally, he found our idea 3 similar to Idea 1. It was not very good and also confused him. He also gave us negative feedback and suggested that we should not do this idea.

Fourth production meeting

Fourth Production Meeting
In my group we decided to form our fourth group production meeting, me and my group decided to film some material to add to the last bits of our short thriller film, so we can expand and edit the thriller film.

Editing is very important in producing a film it can either make or break it due to this my group took a long time in the editing post, as we wanted to almost perfect a outstanding thriller film. 

After editing was completed in post we added our group very unique indent and title sequence at the start of the thriller this was one of the required objectives of this thriller. 

Overall my group was happy with the final output.

Third production meeting

In this meeting we discussed the rest of the scenes we were going to film. In this production meeting, we decided to film our rough cut. Everyone did their roles very well, and had a very good output. We edited the rough copy to see how it turns out. We were all happy with the rough copy and decided to carry on with the film.

Final Idea

The idea we chose , which was:

A man wakes up from a dream where he sees a woman dancing in front of couple of colours and us as the audience we think this is his wife and he trying to get to her before it is too late and this is his last memory of her. He is stranded in the forest trying to look for a piece of map which would lead him to London so he is in the forest for a couple of hours searching everywhere for this map and he has to survive 

Second production meeting

In our second production meeting we decided what days we would film on. We also made slight changes to our final idea and made sure we had all the props ready. We checked the upcoming weather forecast to see if it was ok.

3 initial ideas for thriller opening

Idea 1

A man is on a bench hungover with no memory of the day before, he is then woken up by a police officer who recognises him as a wanted criminal. Then the man is confused and starts to run from the officer but because he is hungover he gets caught by the officer and then it is revealed that a man in a suit is watching from a distance and gets out his phone and says to someone "It's been done."

Idea 2

A normal preacher is giving a sermon with a bored audience but then it cuts to the future and the same preacher is covered in blood and is getting chased by the Fbi, the preacher get caught in a corner and pulls out a gun intending to shoot the agent but then he pulls out a card looks at it and then turns the gun on himself and shoots himself in the head. The card is then revealed to be a King of Diamonds card with proverbs 16:12 written on it.

Idea 3

A drug kingpin is arrested by police officers then it is shown on the news that he has been arrested. We then see a silhouette figure of a man watching the news he pulls out the phone and says "it's time to get the band back together, you know what we gotta do."

First day production meeting

In the first production meeting we were discussing how we would properly organise the scenes we planned to do. We had to do this because for different scenes we had to do a different camera shots and angles we had to use to make the thriller properly. Also we had to discuss the roles which every single person in our team had so we were not iced up and everyone knew their roles and the work rate could be efficient and there was no confusion. 

The roles were that that Patrick was the main character Stefan was the microphone operator Damola was the Camera man and Dennis was the FBI.

Title:   A Bullet for The Preacher Tag Line:

Synopsis: At the start, a church is shown. It then switches to inside the church, using the camera technique; graphic match. The priest is preaching to the audience about his prophets. Another graphic match happens and he is running a from the FBI agent. The priest finds himself in a corner and commits suicide by shooting himself in the head. This leaves the audience in shock as they are unsure why he is running from the FBI and getting shot in the head. This will leave a positive effect on the short film. We will use different types of camera shots such as long shot, medium shot and a close up, even a pov for the priest so we can see the audience.
